Crunchin’ Buffalo Wings


So this is basically the ONLY spicy food on the planet that I love!!! It wasn’t love at 1st bite though because the places I went always served them kinda soggy. I loved the flavors but wanted something crispier. I had no idea how easy it was to achieve! All you really need is an electric skillet, canola oil, and sauce. It’s so simple and by using an electric skillet my oil temp stays pretty even! This has given me the crispiest wings ever and they hold up to basically any sauce so use your favorite or even pre-made (in a pinch I use Budweiser wing sauce). I’m not a spicy person so these are pretty mild for most people so feel free to whoop it up if you like 🙂 I always serve these with a side of blue cheese dressing also. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!!!


1 package (12) wingettes

Canola oil

Electric skillet


2/3 cup your favorite hot sauce

3/4 salted butter

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Cayenne pepper to taste..I would start with no more than 1/4 tsp!


Pour oil almost 1/2 way up electric skillet and heat to 350-375 degrees depending on your skillet.

While the oil is heating to temp, start the sauce by combining all ingredients in a sauce pan. Whisk while cooking. When it starts to boil, turn off and set aside.

Place 6 wings in hot oil and fry until a rich golden brown about 9-13 per side. Drain on a paper towel and repeat until all wings are cooked.

When done, put wings BACK in the oil for a minute on each side and then take out and immediately put in a large bowl and pour sauce over and toss well. That’s it!!!
